In this piece, my intention was twofold. One, Magritte, Buñuel, and De Chirico produced powerfully striking work, so I wanted to give each artist’s work room to speak for itself. Two, I didn’t want to tell the viewer about surrealism, I wanted them to experience it. To feel it. I drew from the artists’ phantasmagorical universes to create a trailer that exuded dreamlike aberration and playful visual stimulation.
